Korle Bu staff protest CEO’s dismissal

Some workers of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital gathered at the central administration of the Hospital in protest of their CEO’s dismissal.

The workers, who wore red armbands and carried placards, chanted war songs and laid down their tools on Thursday 7 June 2018.

Dr Felix Anyah was dismissed by the President Nana Akufo-Addo on Wednesday, 6 June 2018.
The workers said Dr Anyah has fronted major developments in the hospital and demanded to know the reasons for his dismissal.
President of the Korle Bu Senior Staff Association (KOSSA), Mr Charles Nii Kwade Ofei-Palm calmed the workers down and asked them to return to their duties.
Mr. Ofei-Palm explained to the angry workers that the hospital is yet to receive official notification concerning the sacking of the CEO.

He appealed to them to exercise restraint. The agitated staff later returned to work after their interaction with the KOSSA president.
