Charles Taylor has called on his former employers to step up preparations ahead of their upcoming CAF Confederation Cup clash against Kariobangi Sharks.
Kotoko who are Ghana’s sole representative in this season’s CAF inter-club competition dispatched the Black Meteors 3-0 in a friendly at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The Ghana Premier League giants gained a walkover in the first round of the competition following their Cameroonian opponent’s inability to reach the deadline for certain requirements by CAF.
But according to the former Kotoko forward, the club must double their preparations if they harbour any hope of making an impact in the competition.
“What needs to be told, is Asante Kotoko SC should not be over exuberant after this win because its a different game in contention when it comes to Africa”.
“So Kotoko SC players have to back up their training here in Ghana when is due to play Kariobangi Sharks they find their form”, he said.
Kotoko will face the Kenyan side on December 15 and follow up a return leg in Kumasi on the 23rd December.
