KP Boateng opens up on Eintracht Frankfurt exit

Ghana international, Kevin-Prince Boateng has opened up on his decision disclosed to leave Eintracht Frankfurt after one season.

The US Sassuolo midfielder joined the German side from Las Palmas and won the DFP Pokal Cup in his first season.

However, the 31-year-old said his decision to leave the club was influenced by the departure of former head coach Niko Kovac.

Kovac left for Bayern Munich and Kevin followed suit by signing for Italian top-flight side Sassuolo.

According to Boateng, Kovac was the only reason he signed for the German club.

“One big reason why I left Eintracht Frankfurt was because Niko Kovac left. I joined the club because of him,” Boateng told Bild.
