US Sassuolo coach, Roberto De Zerbi has indicated that ‘unique and exceptional’ Kevin-Prince Boateng was his first transfer target.
The Ghana international made a surprising return to the Serie A in the summer after helping Eintracht Frankfurt clinch the German Cup defeating Bayern Munich at the finals.
The 31 year old has hit the grounds running after joining the Italian side on a two-year deal.
And coach Roberto De Zerbi has revealed the Ghanaian has always been his top transfer target.
“Unique, exceptional, he is the first player I wanted,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
Boateng has previously played for AC Milan as well as Las Palmas, Schalke 04, Hertha Berlin, Tottenham Hotspur and Portsmouth.
