This has become necessary as a result of incessant calls from members of the NDC and from the Ghanaian population at large. The source further said, the dimming hope of the nation must be restored. Professor Kwesi Botchwey is an astute Ghanaian statesman, having held office as Ghana’s longest serving Finance Minister from 1982 to 1995.
He is the former chairman of the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC). His extensive experiences include a long career in academia, public service and international development work, spanning over four decades.
He also held academic positions in a number of leading universities and institutions, notably the Harvard Institute for International Development (HIID), where he was Development Advisor; the Centre for International Development Harvard (CID), where he was Senior Research Scholar and the Fletcher School at Tufts University, where he was professor of practice in development Economics.
