Leaders Karela United hold Legon Cities to goalless draw

Legon Cities were held to a goalless draw by Ghana Premier League leaders, Karela United, at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday afternoon.

The Royals were stopped from picking a third straight win in the round 12 fixture as the Pride and Passion lads go just a point above second-placed, Great Olympics, who have 21 points.

Bashir Hayford’s side sits two points above the relegation zone with 13 points on the 14th position after picking seven points in their last three games.

Hayford after the game says the draw reflects the game and has picked a lot of positives from it.

“The game was tough, honestly. We prepared very well for them. The draw was a true reflection of the game. I picked a lot of positives from this game.”

Legon Cities will play as guests to Hearts of Oak, while Karela United will host Asante Kotoko at the CAM Park in week 13 over the weekend.
