Lebron James sent a message to Cleveland Cavaliers fans after agreeing to join the LA Lakers in a stunning free agency move. James, 33, put an end to the saga in the early hours of the morning by joining the Lakers on a four-year deal worth £116m ($154).
He opted out of his Cavs contract on Friday to enter free agency and was always expected to join the Lakers.
And now the deal is complete he posted a message to those who supported him while in Cleveland.
"Thank you Northeast Ohio for an incredible four seasons," said James on his Instagram account.
"This will always be home."
James leaves the Cavs for the second time but this would seem to be the final move of his career.
