Livestream: Akufo-Addo’s 11th address to the nation on measures to fight Covid-19
President Akufo-Addo is currently addressing the country for the 11th time on measures his administration is putting in place to fight Covid-19.
The Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah confirmed this on Twitter Sunday afternoon.
In his last update, the president eased restrictions on public gathering making it possible for churches and mosques to operate while observing the recommended protocols he highlighted.
While the borders were left closed, schools were reopened for final year students at the university, senior high and junior high level to prepare for their examination.
A lot of Ghanaians are looking forward to the address as the country’s Covid-19 cases keeps rising.
The latest report by the Ghana Health Service said 304 more people have tested positive for coronavirus, 24 hours after its previous update.
This brings the total number of Covid-19 cases recorded to 11,422, with 4,136 recoveries and 51 deaths. That leaves an active case count of 7,215.
