LIVESTREAMING: Information Minister addresses media on rescue of Canadian girls

The two Canadian girls abducted in Kumasi on 4th June 2019 were rescued early Wednesday morning.

The two aged 19 and 20 were rescued in a suburb of Kumasi by a police SWAT team.

It is gathered that the driver of the vehicle used for the kidnapping who is a mechanic and one other person were arrested at the scene and assisted the security agencies arrest others involved in the crime.

The suspects have reportedly been flown to Accra.

Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah is currently giving the media details of the operation and ongoing efforts to ensure that similar incidents are
successfully resolved.
