Manhyia’s NAPO kneels before Okyehene and social media ‘can’t think far’
Member of Parliament for Manhyia South and Minister for Education Matthew Opoku Prempeh Napo has been pictured gracefully kneeling before the Okyehene.
While this is no news, it comes on the back of Abdul Malik Kwaku Baako’s public commentary on the idea of kneeling before Monarchs and also considering the Ashanti/Akyem historic ‘rivalry’ which has largely been healthy.
The Harvard-schooled minister of Education and MP has been praised by social media for his humility and understanding of tradition.
Last week, the two Monarchs of the Ashanti Kingdom and the Akyem Abuakwa Chiefdom played golf together side by side and had dinner with the Asante Monarch taking his colleague for a Rolls Royce ride as President Akufo-Addo served as Special Guest.
