Ghanaian Hiplife Artiste Odartei Milla Lamptey popularly known as Gasmilla who’s credited as one of the musicians who promoted the viral Azonto Genre has said his friends and colleagues’ lack of confidence in him did not discourage him from working assiduously to become a good musician who has been celebrated for a decade.
According to the songwriter commonly known as “International Fisherman”, his ten years of music journey has not been easy but he knew from day one that he was destined to do great things.
In an interview with Kwame Bee, host of Kasapa FM’s Drive Time show “Diwulane Mu” he said after he released Aboodatoi, people called him fluke and his song was never going to be a hit but he remained focused, worked hard, and has remained relevant for ten years.
“…for me, I’ve not had it easy, look at my career too, from the inception people doubted I will succeed. When I released Aboodatoi people said this guy is a fluke he’ll not last. But by God’s grace, I have worked tirelessly and remained relevant in this game(Music) for the past ten years. I want to say God bless anybody who has contributed to me being here today.”
Gasmilla revealed that as part of his 10years anniversary celebration, he has brought back his sanitation project and has revamped it.
He disclosed some Ga communities that will be cleaned include Kpone/Tema New Town, Osu, La, Teshie, Pokuasi, and Ashongman.
