Nabdam MP will be re-elected amidst NPP’s propaganda – NDC

Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Nabdam Constituency of the Upper East Region say the people of Nabdam would not make a mistake by electing an NPP parliamentary candidate as their Member of Parliament.

According to them, despite the propaganda by the Nabdam constituency NPP executives that, the incumbent Member of Parliament Dr. Mark Kurt Nawaani has not lived up to the expectation of his constituents, he remains the peoples’ choice.

The NPP executives in an earlier press conference had described the performance of Member of Parliament for the area, Dr. Mark Nawaani, as abysmal particularly in fulfilling his promises.

But speaking at a counter-press conference at Nagondi, Nabdam constituency NDC Communication officer, James Tenga, said the unprecedented developments witnessed in Nabdam under Dr. Nawaani is incomparable to his predecessor and thus should lace their boots for a miserable defeat come 2020.

“Dr. Mark Nawaane has constructed a 10-bed ward with theatre-attached at Nangodi Health Centre, drilled and installed 16 boreholes across the constituency, carried out surgical operations on 50 patients at Logre clinic and renovated the Nabdam Ghana Education Service office at Kongo among others. We wish to state in unambiguous terms that, it is an open secret that Dr. Nawaane shall win the forthcoming NDC primaries and subsequently win the parliamentary election come 2020 considering his achievements”.

He added that the performance of Dr. Nawaane was recognized by the University of Ghana research where he was ranked 25th position of the 275 Members of parliament and placed 2nd among the 15 MPs in the Upper East Region.

Mr. Tenga, said, the contribution of Dr. Nawaane at the Environment, Science and Technology Committee and currently the Health committee cannot be underestimated.

He further called on the NPP executives to support the MP to execute his developmental agenda for the overall benefit of the people of Nabdam.
