Minister-designate for Energy Mathew Opoku Prempeh has apologized to the former President of Ghana for lying about him.
It could be remembered that the Minister popularly known as Napo in a radio interview accused the former President of busing peole to the Independence Square to cause confusion while government was working on its computer placement.
“We opened the center at the independence square to address the needs of Ghanaians who want to go to school, but some evil people have decided to pay GHc 20 and GHc 50 to people to go there and stage fainting and collapse, yesterday some of the collapses were fake. I’m even wondering why they brought little kids to the centre,” he stated.
But at the vetting Committee, the Minister-designate said he could not defend his claim with eveidence when he was asked if he could.
He apologized to the former President of Ghana for peddling falsehood about him and for hurting his image and personality.
