Gospel musician, Noble Nketia, has urged Ghanaians to forgive former Ghana Football Association, GFA, president, Kwesi Nyantakyi.
Stating that he understands Ghanaians’ fury against Nyantaki is due to their undying love for football, he still believes forgiving the former GFA boss will help the nation move on away from what happened after “horrible” revelations through investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas’s Number 12 exposé.
Speaking with Franky 5 on ‘This is Gospel’ on Hitz FM, he said, “…I love football and I always want Ghanaian football to be where it’s supposed to be…it’s unfortunate this has happened. But we are humans and we err in our daily dealings.
“I think we should forgive and pray for Kwesi Nyantakyi and the other culprits in the video…” he said.
“…I pray that things go well. I also hope that the appropriate quarters are using their right tools and employing the right channels to put things in the right order…”
The documentary dubbed Number 12 implicated other top GFA officials and referees who were capture on camera receiving various amounts of cash as bribes to influence matches.
