Founder of pressure group, Concerned Voters Movement (CVM), Razak Kwadjo Opoku has said the hullabaloo over the soon to be aired investigative piece by Anas Aremeyaw Anas is needless.
Mr. Opoku particularly stated that he is surprised about the unsubstantiated allegations leveled against the ace Investigative Journalist for his contribution to the fight against corruption.
“Anas Aremeyaw Anas is not an employee of Government and his investigative work is not sponsored by the Government or any political party,” he said.
Speaking in an interview with reporters over the weekend, Mr Opoku challenged critics arguing that there is no alternative investigative methodology provided for Anas to serve Ghanaians with credible alternatives to fighting corruption.
He said Anas was tried, tested and trusted investigative journalist with worldwide recognition and that “as Ghanaians, we would not allow haters to destroy his credibility and integrity.”
He added that, “the brand and reputation of Anas is solid as a rock and no counter video/audio or distorted material evidence can destroy his trusted works.
“Anas deserves even more property than he is having now, considering his patriotic, selfless and solid contribution to the State as far as the fight of corruption is concerned”
He thus rubbished attempts by some persons to discredit him stating that Anas is a hero and deserved commendation and not condemnation, adding; “Amazingly, those attacking Anas have questionable integrity and credibility deficiencies.”
