Daniel Asiedu popularly known as Sexy Don Don who is one of the suspects standing trial for the murder of Joseph Boakye-Danquah Adu has told an Accra District Court that he was hired by some persons in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to commit the crime.
According to him, after the plot was hatched, he was told by his hirers to mention the NDC in the event that he is arrested by the police.
Sexy Don Don says after the execution of the task and his subsequent arrest, he is yet to see any of the hirers, whom he claims, are all members of the ruling National Democratic Congress, NDC.
He made the confession in court on Wednesday presided over by judge Arit Nsemoh.
When asked by the judge whether he was making up the claims by the judge, Sexy Don Don insisted that he is making the confession because he is now a changed person and wants the truth to come out.
But he was asked to return to think about what he has told the court, and to consider whether to add more or retract them.
The late J.B Danquah-Adu was stabbed to death on the night of Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at his Shiashie residence in Accra.
The prime suspect, Daniel Asiedu was arrested two days after the incident. The accomplice was picked up several weeks later.
