NPP will rule Ghana for 60 years – Freddie Blay
Acting National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, NPP, Freddie Blay, has indicated that the party wishes to be in power for the next 60 years.
He made this statement at the NPP’s 26th National Delegates’ Conference emphasizing that as the ruling party, its major objective is to strive to remain in office for many years to steer the affairs of the nation.
“Ladies and gentlemen in 2014, we held a similar event in Tamale, but we were in opposition at the time. Thankfully, we are holding the same event today, but this time we are doing so as the ruling party.
“It is an exciting and challenging time for the party because we are confronted with the country’s challenges. We have done remarkably well, but I believe there’s still more to be done.
“As we organise this conference, our main objective is to rule the country for the next 60 years,” Mr Blay said while addressing party supporters at the ongoing delegates’ conference in the Eastern Regional capital, Koforidua.
The theme for the 26th conference is “Building a stronger party; delivering prosperity to Ghanaians “.
