Black Stars goalkeeper, Richard Ofori has hailed his teammates after the team won convincingly against the Blue Samurais of Japan yesterday.
The Maritzburg United goalie disclosed this to media men after their victory over Japan in Yokohama.
Ofori kept the post for the senior national team yesterday and the youngster once again did not disappoint as he put up fantastic saves to deny Japan from scoring.
Throughout the match, the former Wa All Stars goalkeeper commanded his defense exceptionally well to help the team perform marvellous well in general.
He, however, concedes that the game was very tough because when they started proceedings, Japan came at them looking to find the back of the net.
He opines that the match being Japan’s last game before the world cup in Russia, they wanted to give their all and get a win to boost their confidence ahead of the tournament.
“What I will say is that my guys did very well because Japan is not an easy team. We have played them several times and always we lost”.
In addition, he stated that it is every player’s dream is to play for the Black Stars so whenever he gets the chance to be in a post he tries to put up a good performance.
