Police arrests man with 5 slabs of narco

The highway patrol team of the Ghana police service stationed within the Ketu South Municipality arrested one Adebayor Adesa Ako on Thursday, 28 October 2021 for possessing a substance suspected to be narcotics.

The police said at about 8 pm, the suspect was aboard a vehicle heading toward Aflao in the Volta Region.

The Toyota Seana commercial vehicle on which the suspect was travelling, was stopped for routine checks.

The suspected narcotics substance was found in a bag belonging to the suspect after a search was conducted on all the occupants of the vehicle.

The suspect was arrested and is currently in police custody.

The police has kept the exhibits of five whitish slaps of concealed substances for evidential purposes while the case has been taken over by the Drugs Law Enforcement Unit of the Volta regional police command.
