Police probe Anas over JB Danquah’s murder

The police hierarchy is investigating undercover journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas in connection with the gruesome murder of former MP Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu, according to police sources.

Assin Central legislator, Ken Agyapong, is on record to have made damning revelations about Anas’ relationship with the wife of the late MP, Madama Heward-Mills.

Ken Agyapong sought to suggest that Anas is in an amorous relationship with Madam Heward-Mills, implying that Anas had an extramarital affair with Madam Heward-Mills before the demise of her husband.

Madam Heward-Mills has since rebuffed the allegations, labeling Ken Agyapong as a “bully” and “cheap talker”.

In a Facebook post, she said, “Unfortunately, we live in a society where brutal uncontrollable losers with low self-esteem who yearn for attention, kick and rub their feet in the air like sixteen-year-old tantrum-throwers who inevitably become certified world class bullies as adults”.

But snippets of information gathered asempanews.com indicate that even though a suspect is being prosecuted for the death of the former MP, the top echelon of the police administration is probing people who have links with the former MP’s household.

“Lots of people are being investigated about the matter and that includes Anas Aremeyaw Anas. As investigators we do so many things behind the scenes.

“We are tightlipped because we have not concluded our investigations. Very soon the facts will be published when the investigations are concluded,” our source disclosed.

Daniel Asiedu, the suspected murderer of the former Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North, Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu, has been committed to the High Court for a full trial to commence.

The committal, which took place at an Accra District Magistrate Court, was after he was indicted by the State and charged with murder.

According to the court, Daniel Asiedu’s evidence during the indictment process, was full of contradictions, hence the decision to send him to the High Court for a full trial.

The suspect was arrested in 2016 after he was alleged to have stabbed the late MP with a knife leading to his death at his residence in Accra.

Anas’ Tiger Eye PI in collaboration with the British Broadcasting Corporation, BBC, is expected to premier a documentary titled, “Number 12” which centers on football and politics.
