T-shirts with the inscription ‘I have the president in my pocket’ have been spotted in town as a result of the yet to be premiered the investigative piece, “Number 12” by Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
The phrase ‘I have the president in my pocket’ took over the internet, after the President Nana Akufo-Addo watched the piece ahead of the public screening and called for the arrest of Kwasi Nyantakyi, GFA boss.
It was rumored the Ghana Football Association president, Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi, had said he had the president in his pocket and that he could bribe him to do get his way through.
It is alleged that the opposition party National Democratic Congress is behind printing of the shirts to promote the ‘President in my pocket’ agenda.
The shirts, according to mynewsgh.com, have a goggle among the inscriptions to mimick the President’s glasses. Ironically, the inscription “President” in the T-shirt does not have a “T’ at the end of the word.
