The EC also said that it still needs to pay 47 more officials, which will cost ¢24,263.16.
This information was shared in a statement released by EC’s Acting Director of Public Affairs, Michael Boadu on Wednesday, May 8.
The Commission noted that it was in the process of updating its hiring procedures for temporary staff by transitioning to digital data collection systems.
“This initiative will enhance and improve the payment methods for all temporary Officials and prevent delays.”
“Additionally, the digital system will help streamline administrative procedures, reduce paperwork and ensure the accuracy and security of data. This approach is a significant step towards optimising operational efficiency and resource management within the Commission.”
The Electoral management body assured that with this modernisation, its present and future temporary employees can anticipate timely payments.
