Inaki and family unveil emotional documentary on their life story

Spanish giant Athletic Bilbao striker Inaki Williams together with his younger brother Nico Williams and parents have launched an emotional documentary that delves deep into their lifetime.
The brothers, who have been instrumental in the Spanish La Liga had things tough at the beginning because their parents were poor.
In a new documentary titled Los Williams which gives an insight into the life of Inaki & Nico Williams and their family, their mother Maria tells the story of how she left Ghana sometime in April 1994, at a time she was carrying Inaki in her womb .
According to her, when she embarked on that journey with her husband, they were arrested when they got to Mililla, Spain’s North African enclave and the only way they were allowed entry into Spain was that she took advice from a lawyer that, when asked where she was coming, she should just say she’s coming from Liberia.
Considering that, the Civil War in Liberia started from 1989-1996, it was the perfect excuse for a pregnant woman who was running away and that worked out for her.
Currently, Inaki and Nico are living good together with their parents. Though playing in the same team, Atletico Bilbao, Inaki opted for the Black Stars of Ghana while Nico chose to play for the Spanish national team.
Both represented their countries at the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup but couldn't go far in the tournament.
Inaki subsequently played his first AFCON in Ivory Coast in January 2024 but the Black Stars were eliminated at the group stage once again.
His younger brother, Nico was lucky when he featured prominently to help Spain win Euro 2024 in Germany.
