PSG join Madrid and Barca in race for Bernardo Silva
According to what ‘Mundo Deportivo’ reported, Paris Saint-Germain will try to sign Bernardo Silva in the next transfer window. The French club are willing to fight against Real Madrid and Barcelona, two of the clubs interested in the Portuguese’s signing.
Bernardo Silva will be one of the major talking points of the upcoming summer transfer window. The Portuguese is said to have no intention of staying at Manchester City, and several clubs will be looking to sign him for the 2023-24 season.
Barcelona were the first interested in him. The Catalan club were on the verge of signing him in mid-2022, but did not have the financial means to negotiate and the midfielder finally stayed with Pep Guardiola’s team.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, have also reportedly approached City to know the situation of the Portuguese. The ‘Merengues’ have got in the way of Barca’s interest and will fight in the next market for the transfer of the midfielder.
However, when everything seemed to indicate that it was going to be a fight between Spanish clubs, ‘Mundo Deportivo’ reported that Paris Saint-Germain will also try to reinforce with the talent of the 28-year-old midfielder. The Parisians would be willing to pay the amount of money demanded by the English club.
In principle, Silva’s transfer is expected to cost around 90 million euros. In that sense, Barcelona are at a disadvantage because of their financial situation, while Madrid will try to invest that amount of money (or more) in Jude Bellingham. We’ll have to see what happens in the coming months, but PSG will certainly be looking to hit the jackpot.
