VIDEO: Scores of Ghanainas in Lebanon beg to return home after the deadly earthquake
The earthquake disaster has been described by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as the deadliest and the ‘worst’ earthquake in a century.
There has been another dangerous earthquake in Turkey and Lebanon after Earthquake claimed the life of Ghanaian player Christian Atsu.
A Ghanaian resident in Lebanon Cassandra Nana Ama Nhyira speaking in an interview with Ambassador TV and monitored by MyNewsGh.com revealed that “scores of Ghanaians are stranded here in Lebanon and these people are struggling to even get to a place to sleep”
“Due to what happened to Christian Atsu after the earthquake in Turkey, we are seriously afraid and the majority of us are willing to come back home”, she revealed.
“Last two weeks, we experienced a dangerous earthquake in Lebanon and today there has been another Earthquake,” she told Osei Kwadwo.
“Ambassador, As I’m talking to you now, the government of Lebanon has announced to us that there will be another Earthquake so we have been forced to go out for our own safety” she explained
“Over 100 Ghanaians in Lebanon are ready to come back to Ghana but they don’t have money for air ticketing and these people have been stranded with no hope”, she lamented
Cassandra appealed to the government to evacuate Ghanaians who have been stranded in Lebanon to avoid any unwanted disaster.
