Samira Bawumia pushes for an end to Domestic Violence

Samira Bawumia, Second Lady of the republic of Ghana is pushing for an end to brutality against the vulnerable in society especially children and women.

She thus joined the Detective Training Institute to observe the training of DOVVSU Regional and Deputy Regional Coordinators across the country.

This training was organised to provide up-to-date skills and share best practices in the handling of SGBV issues.

The second lady during her participation in the event held in Accra said, “I, together with the Coalition of People Against Sexual and Gender Based Violence, SGBV, and Harmful Practices (CoPASH), stand with DOVVSU to reduce and ultimately end domestic violence in Ghana”.

Samira Bawumia’s participation in this event follows her assurance to Ghanaians that she will be doing her bit to support the vulnerable especially women and the children while she celebrated her 37th birthday last month.
