Senior Cadre takes Mahama to the cleaners

A Senior Cadre has reacted to the claim by former President John Dramani Mahama that nobody can beat the National Democratic Congress (NDC) when it comes to unleashing violence, because it has a revolutionary record of being violent.

But, Nana Nanabanyin Ninsin-Imbeah ll, Secretary of the defunct Kumasi Metropolitan Central Coordinating Committee of Workplace CDRs, has reminded the former President that the “revolutionary roots” referred to were meant to instill discipline into the social fabric, and not to instigate violence.

Speaking to The Chronicle in Kumasi, Nana Ninsin-Imbeah II said in this age and time it is unthinkable for no less a person than a former Head of State to advocate violence.

The Senior Cadre called on ex-President Mahama to catalogue the cases of known acts of violence which the NDC allegedly has from its “revolutionary roots”, and judge if it is any reasonable thing to be proud of.

Nana Ninsin-Imbeah II, who is also the ex-Nyimfahen of the Mfantseman Council in the Ashanti Region, said if former President Mahama is serious, sincere, and wants to uphold and boast about the “revolutionary roots”, he should strictly subscribe to transparency, “probity and accountability” as enshrined in the 1992 Constitution, and tell Ghanaians where the guinea fowls purchased allegedly with GH¢15 million of the taxpayers money for the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA) project are.

The ex-Chief said it is high time the concept of equalisation in Ghanaian politics be avoided and eschew violence for violence.

He apologised to the Ghanaian citizenry whose sensibilities might have been affected by the unfortunate utterance of the former President.

Nana Ninsin-Imbeah stressed that it was needless for the former President to pride himself in unleashing violence on any member of the Ghanaian populace, hence, those threats should be ignored to avoid the situation where a person taking a bath is attempted to go naked after a mad man who takes away his clothing.
