Spicy ripped plantain chips and gizzard is a tasty snack that can be savored every now and then.
It is however more enjoyable when you are munching on this snack while watching a movies at home.
The plantain based chips is a good choice if you’re feeling nauseous because of the ginger spicing of the dish.
Ginger also offers other health benefits like gingerol, a substance with powerful medicinal properties. Ginger can treat many forms of nausea, especially morning sickness and reduce muscle pain and soreness.

How to make spicy fried plantain chips
1 inch of ginger
1 tablespoon of powdered dried chilli pepper
1 fresh chilli pepper
½ of small sized onion
Pinch of salt
Two fingers of plantain diced
Blend ginger, onion, chilli pepper together. Mix blended ginger, onion, cloves with 1 tablespoonsful of powdered pepper and ¼ tablespoon of salt.
Marinate diced ripe plantain and set aside for 10 minutes. Deep fry it till it turns golden brown. Scoop it into a sieve to drain oil.
Pour chips in bowl layered with kitchen tissues to absorb excess oil.
How to prepare gizzard kabobs
1 kilo of gizzard
½ clove of garlic
1 medium onion
4 green fresh chilli pepper
1 green sweet pepper
1 small cucumber
Salt to taste
Wash gizzard well and pour in sauce pan.
Blend together ginger, garlic, half of onion, cloves and set aside. Take 2 tablespoons of blended paste, add a pinch of salt to your taste and marinate gizzard with the mixture. Set on fire for 10-15 minutes on low heat. Turn it over in sauce pan for 10 more minutes.
Fry seasoned gizzard for 10-15 mins and strain oil from it and pour it in a bowl layered with kitchen tissue.
Slice other half of onion, Green pepper, and cucumber and set aside.
Arrange gizzard on kabob stick with sliced sweet pepper, onions, and cucumber.
Dish out a ladle full of fried chips and add a stick or two of the kabobs.
Sit before the TV set and you won’t regret ditching popcorn for Spicy plantain chips and gizzard!
