Ghana midfielder, Thomas Partey was on the scoresheet in Atletico Madrid’s 3-0 win over SD Huesca at the Wanda Metropolitano on Tuesday night.
Antoine Griezman opened the scoring for Atletico in the 16th minute when he pounced on Diego Costa’s cut back to get the opener.
Partey doubled the lead in the 20th-minute before Koke got the 3rd goal in the 30th minute of the game.
Diego Simeone named a strong side for the clash including Griezman and Diego Costa despite having a tough game this weekend against city rivals Real Madrid.
The game marked Partey’s second start of the season and 5th appearance in the La Liga this season.
The 25-year-old midfielder was handed a starting role alongside Spain international Koke in midfield.
The victory lifted Atletico up to third in the table – two points behind Barcelona and Real Madrid.
