This blind man spotted in a viral video on social media is a perfect example of the saying, “disability is not inability”, as he manages to make a living by selling coconut on the streets of Accra despite his challenge.
The middle-aged man has defied the norm where physically disabled persons in Ghana usually beg for alms on the streets to feed themselves and family.
Recently, government released funds to empower some persons with disability as part of attempts to mitigate the trend of disabled persons begging for alms on the streets of Accra and in other regions.
But in a video by GHbase, the blind man is seen selling coconut with a very sharp knife.
In this video, he is seen selling some of his coconuts to a man and a lady who is visibly looked astounded by the dexterity exhibited by the supposedly blind man.
