We need wise men to fix Ghana – Nunoo-Mensah
“I am so sad for Ghana. The country is not developing. We don’t need the International Monetary Fund (IMF). We can generate our resources to develop the country but we lack the visionary leaders to help us do this, we need wise men to save this country,’’ these are the brutal assessment of Brigadier General Nunoo-Mensah.
According to the former military capo, since the Akufo-Addo led-administration assumed office, the economic situation has deteriorated making life unbearable for the citizenry.
Speaking on the upsurge of political vigilante groups, Brigadier General Nunoo-Mensah, said the trend if not halted immediately could lead to anarchy.
“It is time for right thinking Ghanaians to get up and say; we want to save this country. It’s about time we form a third force with wise people to prevent these two parties from destroying Ghana.
“Lawlessness, anarchy is increasing and yet we have refused to talk. We have a president who is a lawyer and yet we continue to witness lawlessness in the country,’’ he fumed on an Accra based Rainbow Radio.
He insists graduate unemployment, economic hardship and other challenges have reached the zenith, warning of severe security consequences if the issues are not resolved.
Asked whether the return of former president Mahama would help address the prevailing hardships, he said “we don’t need Mr Mahama to return as president.
“What is Mahama coming to do? What did he fail to do in the past and now coming back to do? The fact that the performance of Nana Addo has grown from bad to worse, does not mean we have to vote for Mr Mahama. There are better candidates but they are scared of the insults and attacks that would be directed at them.’’
He added: “You don’t care about the people and yet you keep buying land cruisers, there could be a revolution if care is not taken”.
