Actress and model, Moesha Boduong, has stated that criticism over her recent remarks on CNN has immensely benefited her as she will soon release more works with the American news giant.
Ms Boduong was heavily criticized on social media after she said on CNN that most Ghanaian women are compelled to trade sex for money because of the country’s ailing economy.
“In Ghana, our economy is such a way that you need someone to take care of you. You can’t make enough money as a woman here. Because even when you want to get an apartment, in Ghana they take two years’ advance and I just started working where will I get money to pay?” she had said.
Speaking for the first on JoyNews about her issue, she said, the barrage of criticisms from Ghanaians was a blessing in disguise.
“The whole CNN thing has turned into a blessing, especially the part that has to do with Ghanaians lambasting me. It spread very fast making me more popular, so yes it has been a blessing.
“Again, CNN has come to my aid. I didn’t even have their contact but after the whole episode went viral, they called me back and we have a very good relationship now.
“So, I’m looking at doing so many things with CNN. Actually, we’ve already started doing something. It’s still in the pipeline and will come out soon thanks to my lovely Ghanaians. I love them so much.
“I’m also launching my foundation soon and will produce my own movie alongside. I’m still writing the scripts, so everyone should expect my new movie. It’s going to be about me including my CNN experience, so people should watch out for it and I’m going to turn that into a fortune,” she told JoyNews’ MzGee.
