Your eyes are your most prized assets without which you lose your independence and the beauty around you.
Because the eyes help an individual in virtually all his dealings, it’s important to treat them with utmost care.
But naturally, the eyes lose its power due to a lot of environmental conditions, glaring at screens and ultimately aging.
However, there are ways to reduce it by choice of food, exercise and few basic practices.
For brighter eyesight:
Incorporate Vitamins A, C, E, and minerals like copper and zinc in your diet or take supplements as they are essential to your eyesight.
Again, antioxidants, including beta-carotene, lutein, and zeaxanthin, protect the macula from sun damage. Dark leafy greens, egg yolks, yellow peppers, sweet potatoes, and carrots are a great source of these antioxidants.
Note that study has revealed that consuming yellow and green vegetables can help prevent age-related macular generation which is a leading cause of blindness.
Foods rich in sulfur, cysteine, and lecithin help protect the lens of your eye from cataract formation and this can be managed by eating garlic, onions, and shallots.
Exercising the eyes:
This can greatly help with optimizing vision. One of the ways which has proven to give results is to warm your eyes.
Rub your palms together to create heat, and then place them against your eyes for five seconds. Repeat this three times.
Make sure that your hands are clean and that your mood is relaxed. Commit to daily practice and you may just see better results within one month.
Rest your eyes:
Give your eyes some rest time. If you are the type of person that works with the computer; train yourself to look away from the screens 10 mins after every 50 mins of glaring at the screen.
