Millions of dollars sitting in a room while we beg for money abroad – Sam Pee Yalley
President of Professionals Forum for the National Democratic Congress, Sam Pee Yalley has stated that the optics are not good for the country especially when the elites who are mandated to project the good image of the country make unpardonable mistakes.
“When they open the news about Ghana and we have millions of dollars in somebody’s room’ This is a country of thieves”
On Good Morning Ghana, Sam Pee Yalley said the country has a bowl in hand, begging the western world to loan us money, yet others are busy embarrassing the country with questionable millions of dollars sitting in their bedrooms.
“This is a country which the whole world know that we have been downgraded to the bottom and we say we are poor.
The whole economy, the finance minister said is hanging on a $3 billion dollar IMF loan, and look at this, when the British investor opens the news about Ghana and we have such millions of dollars in somebody’s room”
There is another lawyer who kept $140,000 in his room and an armed robber stole it.
Our international optics are not good. This is a country of thieves; they will call us.”
