I won't follow NPP blindly - JB Danquah

Joseph Boakye Danquah, an aspirant of Subin constituency in the Ashanti Region, has said that he will not blindly follow the New Patriotic Party (NPP) because political parties in Ghana are self-seeking and have blatantly neglected the needs of the people.

Speaking on Akoma FM in Kumasi, JB Danquah disclosed that he is running for office to champion the development of Subin constituency with or without the ruling NPP.

"Political parties in Ghana are self-seeking and have blatantly neglected the needs of the people. I am not running for office to be a blind follower of the NPP," he added.

JB Danquah added that with the establishment of JB Danquah Fun Club, he has been able to identify struggling SMEs and offered interest free loans to boost businesses in the constituency.

"JB Danquah Fun Club is thriving in the Constituency.  So far, we are visible in all the electoral areas in the area, so clearly I have the backing of electorates to spur development in Subin."

The former Chairman for NPP Chapter in Minnesota, USA, is poised to wrestle the Subin parliamentary seat from the incumbent MP,  Eugene Boakye Antwi in 2024.
