Ghana's Para Athletes Gear up for Paris 2024; Insights from NPC President
National Paralympic Committee President Mr Sampson Deen and his team engaged the media at the Paralympic office on 1st May, 2024 to officially welcome the 5 member athletes that participated in the 2024 World Para Athletics (WPA) Grand Prix, Marrakech Morocco.
At the meeting, the president emphasized the incredible progress made by Ghana's para-athletes, highlighting their achievements in recent competitions across Europe and Africa. Our athletes have not just competed, they have excelled and made our nation proud, Mr. Deen remarked.
The meeting also delved into strategic plans and training programs designed to ensure Ghana's representation at the highest level in Paris 2024.
The technical team led by seasoned experts, outlined meticulous training regimes and competitive strategies aimed at securing qualifications and medals.
"We believe in the potential of our athletes," the NPC President asserted, underlining the need for corporate and governmental support.
He extended a heartfelt appeal to potential sponsors and partners, emphasizing the mutual benefits of supporting Ghana's para-athletes on their journey to Paris and beyond.
"As we gear up for Paris 2024, we are not just chasing medals; we are chasing dreams, we are optimistic that with the unwavering support from the public, media, and corporate allies, Ghana's para-athletes are poised to leave a lasting mark on the world stage Mr. Deen concluded.
