    Ghana Defends Title at 2024 Amputee AAFCON in Egypt

    The Black Challenge of Ghana has successfully defended its African title at the 2024 Amputee African Cup of Nations (AAFCON) in Egypt, securing a thrilling 2-1 victory against Morocco in the final. 

    Ghana, overcoming a first-half deficit, equalized through a crucial goal by Mubarak Mohammed.

    Mubarak struck again in extra time, sealing Ghana's victory and bringing their African title tally to two.

    Throughout the tournament, Ghana displayed outstanding performances:

      Ghana 4-0 Gambia
      Ghana 5-0 Algeria
      Ghana 2-1 Kenya

    Quarterfinals
     Ghana 4-1 Tanzania

    Semifinals:
     Ghana 3-0 Algeria

    Finals
    Ghana 2-1 Morocco

    In total, Ghana scored 20 goals and conceded only 3, showcasing their dominance in the second edition of the African Amputee Football Cup of Nations.

    With this victory, Ghana has also qualified for the 2026 World Amputee Football Championship to be held in Panama.

    The triumphant team is scheduled to arrive in Accra, Ghana, on Tuesday at 11:20 AM via Ethiopian Airlines, where a jubilant welcome awaits them.
