Mahama Exposed Himself at NDC Campaign Launch - Ofoe Teye
The Tema East Constituency Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nene Ofoe Teye-Chu Agbadiagba lV, has dismissed the attending crowd at the campaign launch of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) as a fake one.
In an interview over the weekend, Nene Agbadiagba said Mr. John Mahama himself exposed the mischievous choreography behind the mass-up that was listening to John Mahama at the Tamale Jubilee Park on Saturday during the campaign launch.
“Mr. John Mahama exposed himself when he told the large entourage from the Central Region to go back and prepare for the official launch of the party’s manifesto,” Nene said in a Sunday interview he granted in Tema.
“If the NDC really has supporters and members all over the country, including the Northern Region, why would the party need to have an entourage in the Central Region to travel all the way to Tamale to beef up the numbers?” he asked rhetorically.
Mr. Mahama who is the Presidential Candidate of the NDC was naturally, the main speaker at the campaign launch.
He did not say much during his delivery, telling the crowd that the details of the party’s policies are contained in a manifesto that will be launched in the Central Region in August.
It was while making this known that he told the entourage from the Central Region to prepare for the manifesto launch when they return to their region.
“We are going to launch our manifesto next month, in August, before the end of August, and we are launching it in Central Region. So Central Region when you go back, start preparing; we are coming to launch the manifesto,” Mr. John Mahama said.
This instruction by Mr. Mahama has since led to the revelation that the crowd which gathered at the Jubilee Park in Tamale for the campaign launch consisted of people who were bussed from around the country.
“If you compare this to the crowds that throng Dr. Bawumia’s meetings, you see clearly how Bawumia’s rating is far, naturally better than that of John Mahama who has to buss people around to have an audience,” Nene said.
Meanwhile, in response to Mr. Mahama’s vow to make officials in the current government who have been corrupt to face justice, Nene said, Mr. Mahama is dreaming.
“In fact, there is no way the Akufo-Addo government will hand over power to a Mahama government because we are breaking the eight. But if, for argument sake, let’s say Mahama wins the 2024 election, which is “torfiakwa”, who and who is he going to be able to prosecute? It’s not everyone who is corrupt like him, who is walking under tags like the Airbus scandal and the bus branding thievery,” Nene Ofoe Teye-Chu Agbadiagba IV, who is also a manager at the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority said.
