NDC’s Rhetoric about Agyapadie Document Shows their Desperation – Ofoe Teye

The opposition National Democratic Congress is keenly aware that its presidential candidate for the 2024 elections, John Mahama, can never beat the ruling New Patriotic Party’s candidate, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

It is because of this keen awareness that the NDC has resorted to communist inferior tactics, including claiming that the so-called Agyapadie state capture agenda document that is circulating around is true.

“How unfortunate that such an established political party and its leaders would believe that a useless document that was clearly authored by people who do not even know the history of Ghana well is valid,” Nene Ofoe Teye-Chu Agbadiagba lV, Chairman of the Tema East Constituency branch of the NPP said.

According to him, the NDC’s claim that the Agyapadie document is true shows how desperate they are about the extremely meagre chances of their candidate.

“The NDC knows that John Mahama can never beat Bawumia, hence these communist inferior tactics,” Nene said.

Nene’s comments follow recent claims by Mr. John Mahama himself that the so-called Agyapadie document is true, even though president Nana Akufo-Addo has debunked it.

According to Nene, the NDC is the “author and finisher of that fake document,” and that the fake document tends to be released into the public domain only during elections.

“They normally do this when they realize that they are about to lose the election,” he added, pointing out that the document came around during the 2020 elections as well.

Underscoring the danger of such political propaganda, Nene Agbadiagba suggested that it can spark potential communal and ethnic violence, and called on Ghanaians to reject the narrative.

“And to the NDC, I want them to know that it is not our fault that they elected an unattractive candidate; they made that mistake themselves. If they now regret electing John Mahama who has no voter appeal, they should just learn from the mistake and move on, rather than risk the peace and cohesion of this country because of John Mahama.” Nene, who is also a manager at the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority said.

The Tema East NPP Chair called on level headed persons within the NDC to call the pro-Mahama faction to order.

“My appeal is to those level-headed ones who know that the mistake that has led to the NDC losing the 2024 election is the choice of the wrong candidate. Please prevail on the mischievous ones before they plunge this country into ethnic or tribal war.” Nene Ofoe Teye-chu Agbadiagba told journalists in the Harbour City.
