DISCLAIMER: Wacam boss Daniel Owusu- Koranteng has not been arrested
There is information going round that one Daniel Owusu Koranteng who is a Journalist has been arrested as a suspect in connection with the murder case of Ahmed Suale.
Mr Daniel Owusu- Koranteng, a distinguished Ghanaian of very high respect and integrity who bears a similar name as the suspect in the aforementioned case is receiving calls from many well wishers who are disturbed by the news to seek explanation to the similarity of his name and the suspect.
Mr Daniel Owusu-Koranteng whose name is differentiated from that of the suspect by a hyphen between his two surnames want the public to know that he is not the suspect in the case involving the murder case, neither is he related to the suspect in any way.
Mr Daniel Owusu-Koranteng is a person with very high reputation in Ghana and has held very high positions of trust in Ghana and abroad in the course of his public service career.
He is also the President of the Ghana National Association of ADR Practitioners ( GNAAP).
He had served as a Member of the Board of Directors of Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC ), Executive Director of Wacam (An environmental and mining Advocacy NGO), General Secretary of the Maritime and Dockworkers Union of TUC; Member of the Steering Committee of the International Transport Workers Union responsible for Africa and the Arab World, an award winning Writer and the Expert Mediator of an entrepreneurial development bank in Netherlands among others.
